What I Offer
Take a look at how I will serve you!
-
Once you’ve sent an inquiry and have completed your quick screening phone call and intake form, we will schedule an interview to see if I am the right fit for the birth you are envisioning. I am flexible to meet in person (ex: at a local coffee shop) or virtually via Zoom. This will take 45-60 minutes as we get to know one another, go over the completed intake form, and discuss what your goals are for your birth as well any questions you may have for me. I will give you up to two weeks to decide if you want to partner with me or not - if you decide to hire me, I will send over a contract and your 50% deposit will be due at signing.
-
Shortly after I receive the signed contract, we will schedule our initial prenatal visit. This will happen any time between 20-30 weeks. While what is discussed will vary client to client, I generally like to confirm you are taking a childbirth class, have a tour of your birthing place scheduled, go over different comfort measures & tools, and begin creating your birth plan. As our session wraps up, we will schedule a second prenatal appointment.
The second prenatal appointment will occur at or around week 36 of pregnancy. Here we will review your birth plan, cover labor positions & techniques, review signs of labor and determine when you want me to join you once labor has started. The remaining 50% will be due during this time.
I create space for an optional third visit if there are major factors affecting your birth plan (ex: planned spontaneous labor but your provider wants to induce due to newly diagnosed gestational hypertension). This session can happen in between the 1st and 2nd sessions, or after the 2nd session.
You will receive different handouts and resources as well as participate in different activities during your sessions!
-
Once I receive your full payment by the 36 week appointment, you will have me officially on-call starting from week 37 until the birth of your baby. While you are able to reach out to me at any point during your pregnancy, I want to receive a phone-call notifying me that you are in labor. A phone call will not go unheard whereas a text message may go unseen!
-
During our 36 week prenatal appointment we will establish at what point during your labor process I join you and where (maybe you want to labor at home and need me to join you there before leaving to your birthing location, or maybe you want me at the hospital as soon as you arrive). Once that point has been reached I will provide you with continuous physical and emotional support through the birth of your baby. What that physical and emotional support looks like for you will have been decided upon during our prenatal appointments. Physical support may look like hands-on support (counter-pressure/massage), trying different labor positions and movement, relaxing tension in the body through breathwork, and simple nourishment and hydration reminders (offering a snack/water). Emotional support may look like reading affirmations out loud on the cards we made, praying, fear management through grounding techniques and even partner/support person reassurance.

Congratulations mama, your baby finally made their entrance into this world! The “golden hour” is a term used to describe the first hour that uninterrupted bonding occurs with your baby on your chest. Routine non-emergency medical procedures (ex: checking vitals and weight) wait until this first hour is up - here you will help your baby regulate their temperature, lower their stress hormone, initiate breastfeeding and strengthen their immunity. I will stay with you during this period and help with the initial feeding if you so desire, and remain with you until you are settled into your room or decide you do not need me after the golden hour.
-
Ideally, before I part ways with you after your birth, we will schedule an initial postpartum visit within the first 2 weeks of your postpartum period. If you feel a second visit is necessary, this will be scheduled during weeks 2-4 of your postpartum period. I will just be checking in to make sure you and baby are adjusting well, and to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

I will capture candid moments from your labor and delivery (as best I can depending on how much support you need from me), golden hour and newborn/family photos at an additional charge. These are done on my personal professional camera and excludes any smart phone pictures you may ask me to take.
