Welcome!

Hey there! My name is Grace White, the doula behind By Design, and I simply love all-things pregnancy and birth!

My interest for this type of work was sparked when I became pregnant with my first in 2024, and only strengthened with the birth of my second in 2026. I had two very different labor/birth experiences that required two very different types of support. This led to me developing a passion for wanting women to have the labor, birth and postpartum support they desire…and then some! I have been told from a young age that I am terrific at providing a listening ear while giving advice & support - so why not pair that with something I am so passionate about? I found myself researching doula work, and now here I am! I am currently being certified as a birth doula through DONA International - the world’s leading doula certification organization.

I chose to name my business By Design because I firmly believe that women were fearfully and wonderfully designed to grow, carry, birth and nourish their babies. No matter what season of life you are in, or what your experience is with birth, it is my desire to help women feel confident in what they are so naturally designed to do!

In my spare time you can find me outdoors with my family, reading my Bible, sipping on a coffee/matcha and indulging in dark chocolate (the superior kind of chocolate!). Embroidery and photography are hobbies of mine, and I enjoy researching holistic remedies for a variety of things!
